IS THERE A NEED?

YES! - Premature failure of an installation or product (for any number of reasons) could occur, without anyone's knowledge. With a Warranty Expiry Notice an inspection (during the warranty period) could be commissioned, to ensure that the work or product is performing as intended.

If any deficiencies are found - they may be covered under the terms of the warranty and repaired at no cost to the client.

 

WHO BENEFITS?

THE CLIENT The benefit of this notice will be to alert the client that the warranty will soon be expiring, giving them the opportunity to evaluate, inspect, test or otherwise examine the product or item still under warranty.

THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY The benefit of this notice would be to remind the manager of the past project, thus giving them the opportunity to ensure the work or item is performing as intended. Secondly, a change in management companies could result in a lack of knowledge about the project. The expiry notice would give the new manager all the information necessary to act accordingly.

THE CONSULTANT The benefit of this notice to the consultant would be to have the opportunity to contact the client and recommend a follow-up inspection of the work or item.

THE SUPPLIER OR CONTRACTOR

This notice would benefit the Supplier/Contractor by making them aware that the work may be reviewed or inspected and may wish to be involved in this process.
