Warranty Registration ProcedureThe online registration web pages would include all the pertinent details of the project. Upon registration, a WARCAN Certificate (with a dedicated serial number) is produced. The certificate would be provided (by email), to all the contact parties listed on the registration form. The WARCAN Certificate would include; the date of registration, all contact information on the registration form, name and address of the project, the specific services, materials and/or equipment provided and the location(s) the warranty items were installed, applied or supplied and the length of time of the warranty. The warranty used would be; those specified in the original contract documents or purchase order, or by utilizing the optional industry standard warranty as provided in the registration form. The warranty alert time period is determined from the date the WARCAN Certificate is issued. Anyone including, the supplier/contractor, property manager, consultant or the client can register the warranty. Typically, it would be the supplier/contractor who would register so as to ensure that the registration information, warranty terms and conditions, are as agreed. Since warranty times and terms may vary, a separate certificate would be issued for each warranted item. For example; (on a multiple trade project); a warranty certificate may be required for; a new or repaired roof, for exterior stucco or painting and another for a parking garage waterproofing membrane system, etc.
